Also in the Oremountains, the industrial development in the second half of the 19th century led to the construction of necessarily-needed railroads. A small network of narrow-track-routes was built. Still today, you can experience the nostalgia of the steam-engine with the Fichtelbergtrailroad from Cranzahl to the health-resort Oberwiesenthal.
Also museum-railroads like the Preßnitztalbahn or this Saxon museum of narrow-track-railroads in Rittersgrün and the railroad-museum in Schwarzenberg, that shows steam-engines of the normal-track, are a must for railroad-friends.
